Cookbook

For the course Publication, we were assigned to design a cookbook that was fully technically correct using Adobe InDesign. We were only provided with the recipes and had to build the entire publication from scratch using automated features within the software. Through this project, we learned how to work with running headers and footers, an automatically generated table of contents, multiple parent pages, and the correct use of paragraph and character styles. All of these elements ensure that the cookbook can be expanded in the future while remaining technically consistent and easy to update. In addition to the technical requirements, the cookbook needed to be clear and well-structured, with a logical division by recipe category. The layout also had to reflect a cohesive visual style. I chose a pastel colour palette and a display font for the titles to give the cookbook an elegant and authentic look.
