Chanel jacket made in my haute couture specialisation year.

Chanel jacket

This Chanel jacket was entirely created using the specific techniques and detailing associated with Chanel. I developed this project during my haute couture specialization year. The fabric is the iconic Chanel tweed, woven with colored silk threads, resulting in a rich and luxurious texture. I chose to design a colorful, fitted silhouette, closed with a hook fastening. For the galon (decorative trim), I selected a velvet ribbon, applied along the collar, hem, and cuffs. The ribbon also accentuates the waist panels of the jacket. The bow, crafted from the same velvet, serves as a refined accessory that enhances the overall elegance of the piece. My inspiration came from the Chanel jackets worn by singer and songwriter Angèle during her tours and concerts, characterized by their fitted shape and clean ribbon detailing along the edges. I translated this inspiration into my own design.
